Hi loves. If your dark romance feels like obsession wrapped in velvet and bad decisions, congratulations — you’re exactly where you belong.

The difference between a dark romance book that launches quietly into the void and one
that hits the Kindle bestseller list on day one is not the quality of the writing. It’s the
quality of the launch strategy. A great launch doesn’t happen in the week your book goes
live. It happens in the six to eight weeks before. The visibility, the ARCs, the reader
anticipation, the social media drumbeat — all of that infrastructure is built before your
book is available to buy. If you’re winging it at upload, you’ve already lost the launch.
Eight Weeks Out: The Foundation
Cover reveal. This is your announcement to the world that something dark and beautiful is
coming. Your cover should be live on social media, with a mood-appropriate caption, at
least eight weeks before launch. It gives the algorithm time to build your content’s reach
before you need the traffic.
ARC team assembly. Your Advance Review Copy team — readers who agree to read and
review your book before launch — is one of your most valuable assets. Aim for 20-50
readers. Recruit from your existing email list, your social media followers, and dark
romance ARC groups on Facebook and Bookstagram.
And babes? The readers are not looking for safe. They’re looking for obsession, tension, power plays, and stories that feel slightly dangerous in the best possible way. That’s exactly where SpicyPlot comes in.
XOXO, SpicyPlot.
