The Pakhan’s Captive: A Novel of Inherited Debt, Russian Bratva, and Forbidden Tension (Yakovlev Bratva, Book 1)

Her father died owing the wrong man. The debt didn't die with him.

Sofia Reyes runs her father's old clinic alone, tucked into a rough corner of Marseille — the same clinic where he patched up any man who staggered in bleeding through the back door, no questions asked. She finds out exactly what that silence cost her on an ordinary night at closing time, when two men drag her out of her own clinic and straight into a mansion that doesn't exist on any map.

Nikolai Yakovlev doesn't explain himself. He's the Pakhan. He hasn't had to explain anything in years.

The debt belongs to her now — a locked room, a closet already filled with her exact size, rules he never bothers to say out loud because he expects them obeyed anyway. What he doesn't say is that he's studying her far more than he's talking to her, through a report that lands on his desk every morning with his coffee. Because a man who spent his whole life certain nothing could catch him off guard is about to find out how wrong he was — and every day under his roof makes that a little harder to hide. Even from himself.

Sofia has two choices: spend the next years as hostage to a man whose stare burns hotter than any threat he's ever made — or find out why, out of every debt the Bratva has ever collected, hers is the only one Nikolai came to claim in person. Before whatever's building between them outgrows a glance and becomes the one thing even he can't control.

The Pakhan's Captive is Book 1 in the Yakovlev Bratva series and reads as a complete standalone.
